Holga Happiness at Terrigal Beach

Last saturday the boys and I had a day together enjoying the gorgeous sunshine and dreams began of the summer to come.  We jumped in the car and headed to the freeway and the playground of the Central Coast 'Terrigal'.  Lucky me finally had the winning bid on my much desired 'Dragster' bicycle, you know the won with the big handle bars and the sissy bar at the back, this one also has the original white with flowers banana seat.  I was so excited to get there, and I wasn't disappointed, yes it needs some work but its not a total wreck its ridable and with a bit of elbow grease and some new tyres it is going to rock once again.
I also took along my camera and on it my new toy a 'Holga' lens, its plastic and is more for fun and creativity so happily snapped some of my boys playing at Terrigal beach.  This is my first try with the Holga so i'm sure I can only get better and will definately be putting that one in my suitcase when we move to Europe in Feb 2012 but thats a whole other story.....please enjoy

Happy Day...

Holidays thus far...

After a very wet start to the break on the weekend, the sun is out and so are we.  The kids were busting to get out of the house so we all went for a long walk down at the beach and up onto the headland which has amazing views of our beautiful beaches, we are so lucky to live so close to the sea, when we get home you feel so at peace and renewed energy which is always great when its school holidays, I hope you enjoy these.

A Lovely Story

As most of you know I have recently been participating in an online photography retreat with the wonderful Angie Baxter.  One of the final projects set by Angie was to create a story with images and with themes that can be interpreted by the viewer.
So for my story I was so lucky to have two amazing people who I have known my whole life allow me to photograph them, and their love and devotion became my story.  They are my aunty and uncle, having been married for almost 55years their love for one another has always remained as strong as the day they met.  I hope to share some more of their photographs soon, but for now heres just one that i feel says it all.

Spring has finally arrived.

Well folks it feels as though spring is here at last, and I am so excited to think of all the yummy sunshine photos I will be taking in the coming months.  Daylight savings will be starting soon too in NSW, this means really early sunrise but also beautiful long afternoons of golden sunshine.

I took the kids to the beach the other day after school to have a play and we weren't disappointed, sunshine always makes you feel good.

Have a lovely week

Red, Transport and City Life...

Back in July I spent a day in the city with a photographer friend taking photos for a brief given by the Syd Morn Herald.  The challenge was to capture in your own way, shape or form Red, Transport and  city Life.  It was an interesting day, its amazing what you see when you really look for something.  So just thought i'd share some of what I saw with you, hope you enjoy.

Love the weekends...

Weekends at our place are usually pretty hectic and this one was no exception.  Birthday parties for mr J, soccer party for miss S which included all of us, painting the house, study .... you get the picture.  Well it was all too much for mr W who ran around non stop at the soccer gig till 11pm he flaked on the lounge yesterday so had to take advantage didn't I.  They always look beautiful asleep.

Enjoy your week
